What you will find here
The range runs from 1960s Omega dress watches and 1980s Seiko divers to recent Rolex Datejusts, IWC Portugieser chronographs and TAG Heuer Monacos. Most watches are men's, with a solid choice of women's and unisex pieces. Most are between EUR 470 and EUR 8,200 with entry pieces from around EUR 390.
Specifications that matter
- Movement: automatic (self-winding), manual winding, or quartz (battery). Automatic is the most common here.
- Case size: the diameter in millimetres, without the crown. 36-39 mm wears classic, 40-42 mm is the modern standard, 44 mm and up is large.
- Case and band material: stainless steel, gold/steel (two-tone), titanium, gold-plated, leather or rubber straps.
- Reference number: shown in each title, e.g. 116200 for a Datejust. Use it to check the exact model, dial and year range.
How condition is described
Each watch carries a condition grade: new, unworn (no signs of wear), very good (minor signs of wear) or good (visible signs of wear). Polishing, replacement straps and service history vary from piece to piece, so read the description and look closely at the photos of the case edges, crystal and clasp.
Before you buy
Check lug width if you plan to change the strap, confirm whether box and papers are mentioned, and budget for a service on older mechanical watches, which typically need one every five to ten years. Shipping is free and the product page shows the date the watch ships by.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between an automatic and a quartz watch?
An automatic watch is mechanical and winds itself from the movement of your wrist through a rotor, so it needs no battery but should be worn or wound regularly and serviced every few years. A quartz watch runs on a battery regulated by a quartz crystal. It is more accurate, cheaper to maintain and keeps running when left in a drawer.
What case size should I choose?
Case size is the diameter in millimetres. Most men's watches here are 38 to 42 mm, which suits an average wrist. Vintage and dress watches are often 34 to 36 mm and wear smaller than modern pieces. Watches of 44 mm and above suit larger wrists or people who like a bold look. The lug-to-lug length matters as much as the diameter for comfort.
What do the watch condition grades mean?
New means never worn. Unworn means no signs of wear, possibly without original packaging. Very good means minor signs of wear such as light scratches on the case or clasp. Good means visible signs of wear from regular use. The grade describes appearance; for mechanical watches, service history is a separate question worth reading about in the description.
How often does a mechanical watch need a service?
Most brands suggest servicing an automatic or manual-wind watch every five to ten years. A service cleans and re-lubricates the movement and replaces worn parts. If a vintage watch has no recent service history, it is sensible to budget for one after purchase, especially if you plan to wear it daily.
Can I return a watch?
Yes. You have 14 days from delivery to return a watch under the EU right of withdrawal. The watch should come back in the condition you received it. Full details are on our returns policy page. Shipping on every order is free, and payment is taken securely by card at checkout.
